NDCS Newly Diagnosed Weekend

The next NDCS Weekend for families with a newly diagnosed child (in the last 12-18 months) is taking place Friday 8th April-Sunday 10th April. If you have a newly-diagnosed child we highly recommend attending one of these weekends and get consistently excellent feedback from families who do go.

NDCS are setting up a deaf young people's advisory group and are looking for people to get involved.

BSL Storytelling Bursary

The Scottish Storytelling Centre are co-ordinating an exciting opportunity for a storyteller telling stories in British Sign Language.

Inverurie Panto - Peter Pan

It's coming up for that time of year again. Oh, yes it is! We are delighted to support the local Pantomime at Inverurie again this year which will be "Peter Pan". As in previous years, this will be a BSL-signed performance.

Booking information will be coming out soon, but here's advance notice of the date. We know it's a busy time of year, so get it in the diary now!!

Update

Just a quick update from the committee. Following the AGM we have two new members - Karen McKain (of the Sensory Support Service) and Karen Stewart. Welcome and thanks to them. We are always happy to welcome new members at any time throughout the year - you don't have to wait until the next AGM!

The following events are in the planning stages and there should be some more info coming out in the next few months.

Cinema trip - October/November (depending on availability of subtitled film)
Panto - Inverurie panto trip (December)
Soft play - for our younger members. Probably sometime in January (Hoodles or Soft Bear Play Centre)
Ceilidh - family ceilidh. Combined social and fundraising event. February/March.
